Got a call from a super awesome dude named Joe, who lives in San Diego and is a design director at Jedidiah Clothing (www.jedidiahusa.com). He explained the heart and vision behind Jedidiah, and their desire to really create change in today’s culture. This brand isn’t just promoting buy a pair give a pair stuff, but they are really trying to tackle big issues across the world like human trafficking, poverty, unclean water, and other problems. They sell awesome clothes as a way for the consumer to provide care, support and financial resources to those in need.

The goal with this piece was to create an engaging film that introduced the upcoming 2012 Winter Collection of Jedidiah clothes in a catchy way that grabs an audience and gets them all wound up and involved in the moment. With the brand being out of San Diego, I was shipped a box and had nothing other than some phone calls and Skype calls to firm everything up. Got the box of Jedidiah clothes in the mail, cast a few people I knew, and went off to explore more of the city of Portland bringing the cameras and my awesome talent with me. It was so fun adventuring and living out the story of the video while shooting. Favorite moments were spent on the quiet streets of SW Portland on my longboard skating up and down with the steadicam and TJ in a few different outfits on bikes and a longboard. Loved that through making this, we just got to bask in the cool crisp beautiful fall sunlight and venture deep through the lush color-changing forests of the pacific northwest. I think autumn is my favorite season, or at least it is quickly becoming my favorite.

To me, the collection is about being an adventurer, a free-spirit, one in touch with their purpose and I wanted to capture that in the movement of the camera, the lens flares, the editing, and even the music.
